Mission Challenges Walkthrough
Mission Challenge #1 – Deft Dragon
- Objective: Perform a Perfect Dodge 5 times (Reward: 50 Gold)
- How to Perform Perfect Dodge:
Press L2 (PlayStation) or LT (Xbox) just before a green projectile hits you. Some attacks require dodging in a specific direction. This mechanic will become natural as you progress through the chapter.
Mission Challenge #2 – Veteran Pursuer
- Objective: Chase and destroy 2 Hell Fighter ships (Reward: Reverent – Impaler skin)
- How to Complete:
Hell Fighters are flying ships introduced in the first dragon chapter. Boost with L3 to chase them and shoot until destroyed. They appear in waves during the chapter and will be listed below.

Hell Fighters Waves
- Hell Fighter #1 & #2:
After destroying the ship directly in front of you at the start, dive into the core below to trigger two retreating Hell Fighters. Focus on destroying at least one before they vanish near the tentacle at the path’s end. - Hell Fighter #3 & #4:
Once you destroy the tentacle’s weak spot, two more Hell Fighters retreat as you leave the area. Chase and destroy them. Destroying these should complete the mission challenge; additional kills restore health. - Hell Fighter #5:
After closing the first Demonic Portal and remounting your dragon, this Hell Fighter appears right in front of you, leading to the next tentacle. - Hell Fighter #6:
After destroying the next tentacle’s weak spot, another Hell Fighter will appear to chase.
Demonic Essence Collectibles
- Demonic Essence – Ammo #1:
Awarded automatically for defeating the Mancubus miniboss at the first Dragon Landing Zone. - Demonic Essence – Armor #1:
Awarded automatically for defeating the Revenant miniboss at the second Dragon Landing Zone.
